If you eat, you better Occupy Wall Street

Join Occupy Against Big Food tomorrow Saturday October 29 near Wall Street at Zucotti Park. The event will take place from 1 to 4 pm, with a lineup of food reform speakers including authors Marion Nestle and Anna Lappe who will speak out against the abuse of corporate power and how it impacts our food supply.

Occupy Wall Street was born out of a legitimate frustration with the collusion between Big Business and elected officials of the U.S. government. And nowhere is that collusion so great as in food and agricultural production, where 4 firms control 84% of beef packing, 66% of pork production and 1 company (Monsanto) controls more than 93% of soybeans and 80% of corn grown in the U.S.

This weekend is our chance to show them we mean business. Join Occupy Against Big Food tomorrow afternoon at Zucotti Park. If you can't attend, please take a moment to share with us why you support Occupy Wall Street movement how reforming food and agricultural policy can be a part of it.
